It's a fact, we are all in this together, and everything we come in contact with in our daily lives can serve as an inspiration to our writing. This group is open and welcome to all Gather members who believe and demonstrate the adage, "art feeds art."
1) Please ensure your "article" indicates somewhere within the article (or in the title if you wish to be forthright) the "art" which inspired you to write the piece. If it is a well-known work, putting it at the end may give the reader a chance to guess the "inspiring" work. However, if it is something you don't think a reader would be able to guess, it's recommended you identify the inspiring work in the title or at the top of the article. Example: "Bis -- Inspired by 'The Kiss' by Gustav Klimt" MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR INSPIRATION, OR YOUR ARTICLE WILL BE DECLINED FOR THE GROUP. If you have written a poem that was inspired by someone you know (or something unknown to readers), it is important that you indicate the "inspiration" somewhere in your work so that the group can maintain its theme. Of course, turning articles away is not desired, but this little addition is what makes this group what it is! 2) Avoid publishing review or review-type commentary to this group. This is solely for use as an inspiration to create your own reflection, not to analyze or criticize the work of others. We want to see what you were able to pull out of other art, not what you can discern about it. 3) More guidelines to come as the group progresses! Group Tags
